The managers from Uber's Polish office are looking for new jobs, and some have already found ones. The former head of marketing will work for Revolut
Uber is planning on moving its Warsaw office to Kyiv, my sources tell me. The only part of the company to remain in Poland is the UberEats division. Uber's Warsaw employees were offered positions in the Ukrainian capital or in other branches of the American company.
The news hasn’t been officially announced but comes from a credible source. It was somewhat confirmed by Uber's new regional director, Oleksiy Stakh. - Everyone working for Uber in Central and Eastern Europe will be moved to Kyiv and work here - he said during a press conference held in Kyiv in December. Stakh was quoted saying that by the Interfax-Ukraina press agency.

Uber's press office, which is still operating in Poland, sees this in a somewhat different light. Magdalena Szulc told me that the company is reorganizing, but that does not mean the Warsaw office will be closed. She did confirm that some of the company's employees were offered positions in Kyiv or Amsterdam, but she added that Uber's Polish team was recently expanded. This, however, includes parts of the company that manage UberEats.

Oleksiy Stakh is Belarusian. He replaced Kacper Winiarczyk as regional director in November last year, and the Polish former director is now working for ofo, a major Chinese company planning to conquer Poland's bicycle renting market. My source also informed me about another interesting transfer. Karol Sadaj, until recently Uber's marketing director, is now the country manager for Poland at Revolut.
Meanwhile, UberEats has just been launched in Kraków. The city's residents can now order and pay for food delivery using Uber's app with a modest 100 restaurants to choose from for now. Order delivery covers an area approximately 8 kilometers from the city center. UberEats is already successfully operating in Warsaw (700 restaurants) and Poznań (fewer than 200 restaurants).
