Ukraine's Monobank is entering Poland

Under the Stereo brand, Monobank wants to offer accounts with cards and additional services such as Blik mobile payments

Ukraine's Monobank intends to launch its operations in our country. It will offer an account with a card, managed via an app, and will operate under the Stereo brand. You could already read about the Ukrainian neobank on cashless. pl last year, when it reserved its name in Poland. Now much more can be said about its plans for our market, as the venture's website has been launched: stereo.io. And the intention to enter Poland was confirmed by Monobank co-owner Oleg Gorokhovski, quoted by PAP agency. The launch of the project is expected later this quarter.

As can be learned from the project's website, users of the Stereo app will be able to opt for one of two subscription options. In the basic, free one, they will be able to use the account in zlotys, make domestic and foreign transfers, top up the account and use the virtual card free of charge. In contrast, users will pay for the issuance of a physical card, SEPA instant transfers and Express Elixir. In turn, all these services are to be free with the Stereo+ subscription, priced at PLN 15 per month. Additional advantages of the paid plan, on the other hand, are a euro account, no advertising messages, the ability to add reactions and comments to transactions, as well as the special design of the application.

Stereo users are also expected to be able to use Blik and, in turn, the card accompanying the account will be able to add to Google Pay and Apple Pay digital wallets. A gamification system, the aforementioned ability to add reactions and comments to transactions, as well as a 'shake to pay' feature, allowing users to send a transfer by shaking their phone, are also listed among the incentives for setting up an account.

The company ensures that it benefits from a full European banking licence.

Those interested in the Stereo offer can leave their phone number on the website to be the first to receive information about the availability of the app. According to Oleg Gorokhovsky, Monobank is mainly counting on the interest of Ukrainians residing in Poland, but is also open to customers from Poland.
